In the Moroccan Desert near M'Hamid.
Enjoy a week in a unique place conducive to silence and contemplation
Dunes, ocher colors, a rejuvenating and soothing landscape: that of the Moroccan Desert.
During this one-week immersion you will discover an ancestral culture and deepen the practice of yoga in a setting conducive to openness, spirituality and meditation.
The retreat is a moment of sharing, of discovery, and allows us to dive with confidence into the depths of yoga. It is also an encounter with oneself and with the other ... the other reality that lies dormant in each of us ... The other "WE" who only asks to be awakened thanks to the practice Yoga and discovering new horizons...
"When someone hurts you, you should write it on sand so the wind will erase it from your memory, but when someone does something good for you, you should write it on stone so the wind never erases it. God created water to purify the body and the desert to purify the soul”.
desert proverb
Housing
Desert Erg Ez-Zahar or The Howling Dunes
Erg Ez-Zahar, the great dunes have kept their wild and solitary character and dominate the most beautiful desert in Morocco… the particularity of this corner of the desert is that it is inaccessible aux 4×4 .. It is at the foot of these dunes also called howling dunes, that we will set up the bivouac for the duration of the retreat: a calm and serene place where we will have the chance to climb to watch the sunset and sunrise every evening and every morning of our stay…
Location of the Bivouac
Located 45 Km or South West of Mhamid Elghizlane, last oasis in the Draa Valley. These dunes extend over forty kilometers in length and fifteen in width, located between Chegaga and Foum Zguid. We will join the place of training in the desert from M'hamid in 4x4 and our experienced guide Mbark. We will stay 5 days in the desert in the heart of the desert in a nomadic bivouac.
Housing
The simple Bivouac of the howling dunes is made up of several nomadic tents for accommodation and a large restaurant tent with Moroccan tables and a shower for the toilet.
We will sleep in authentic nomadic tents for 2 to 3 people or quechua tent or under the stars for the more adventurous. The return to simplicity is essential throughout this stay in the interest of truly connecting with the surrounding nature. Getting out of our habits sometimes seems complicated or even unthinkable in our luxuriously comfortable modern societies so once is not custom, take with you only what you need and nothing more!
Meals
Meals are shared together around a fire or under the restaurant tent. The price of the stay includes half board – Breakfast and dinner. The meals will consist only of vegetarian food in order to enter into a real yogic approach. Fruits, vegetables and fiber will make up the majority of meals. Local products and Moroccan spices will be used in the preparation of the dishes.
Program
Two Yoga classes per day including posture and breath technique including meditation sessions related to the theme of this course "The silence of infinity"
The program will remain flexible but if you wish to participate in this retreat, please attend the morning and evening classes. Night practice is not compulsory.
Lessons will be given among the dunes or under the large communal tent.
